Indonesia is one of the most populous and important countries in Asia. That’s why Lunar Fest NJ 2018 is proud to host Saung Budaya Indonesian Dance at the festival.
Saung Budaya Indonesian Dance Group was created in 2005 by dance instructor Amalia Suryani. Its goal is to share Indonesian culture through dance and music to the Indonesian-American young people in New York City, and also to the wider public. Saung Budaya currently consists of 20 dancers whom are mostly students and young professionals.
At the festival, the group will be performing two traditional dances: Tari Enggang and Tari Bajidor.
We’re grateful that the festival is able to bring these diverse cultural performers, and we’re excited to share them with attendees.
